Welcome to The Spire Society where we create thoughtfully crafted home fragrance, drawing inspiration from literature, academia and the city of dreaming spires.
OUR PURPOSE
The Spire Society was founded by Carina, inspired by her enduring love of literature, history, and art. After two years in Oxford, she returned to Lincolnshire with a vision: to capture the quiet grandeur of Oxford’s gothic architecture and scholarly atmosphere, and reimagine it through scent.
Our name pays homage to Oxford’s epithet,“The City of Dreaming Spires”—a phrase coined by Victorian poet Matthew Arnold in his elegy Thyrsis.
OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted in our Lincolnshire studio. We use a natural blend of coconut wax for our candles and melts, and ensure that all our products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
From recyclable amber glass to compostable packaging, sustainability is woven into everything we do. Each item is produced in small batches using responsibly sourced materials—allowing us to tread more lightly, without compromising on quality or beauty.
